About Us
Cedar Soaps is a company which strives to make better soap products than what most use. Not only that, but it's basically a fact that most men get whatever's cheapest. Big, industrial companies know this, and make cheap, chemical-filled, unnatural products to be able to lower the price of their products. These products stink. Cedar Soaps creates better, healthier, and more natural products than these giants, while still being able to cleanse, exfoliate, and renew your skin.
Founder and Inspiration:
Founder of Cedar Soaps, Jason Robinson, had used these products for years before eventually discovering that these products are terrible. Doing some research, he found other companies that have much better, superior ingredients than the mass-marketed chemical products. Being inspired, he began creating Cedar Soaps, and began making Cold Process soap with natural oils, not chemicals.
Having tested his products, and getting positive reviews from those he gave soaps to, he was emboldened to continue this endeavor, despite the small odds of success, as he navigated a mixed schedule of college, karate, work, tutoring, and, of course, making the Cold Process soap. Working in a kitchen and going through physically demanding karate classes has allowed his soap to demonstrate it's effectiveness, and the cleanliness achieved after is superior to any chemical-based product.
Cold Process Soap:
But why Cold Process soap? Cold Process soap is one of two ways of creating soap with natural base ingredients, the other being Hot Process. Cold Process soap, basically, is the combination of a lye-water solution with liquid and melted solid oils to create a process of Saponification. Saponification is a chemical process which leads to the creation of soap. Basically, the Cold Process way of making soap allows the oils to become useable to clean and nourish skin with natural oils, instead of harsh, nasty chemicals.
Summary:
To summarize, Cedar Soaps despises the industrial products made by huge corporations, and wants to help everyone, especially men, seeing how they are targeted in the market, get a more natural, superior, better clean with homemade, handmade soaps actually made with intent and care, not apathetic greed.
